The Cites

Hermitage is
one of the oldest and largest museums in the world. It has the largest and most
wonderful collections of Egyptian antiques, armours in the Knight’s Hall, Dutch
Golden Age and Flemish Baroque including Rubens and Rembrant, Italian

Kunstkamera
Kunstkamera
is the first Russian museum including big Collection of Ethnographic halls with
peoples in their traditional environment.
Peter encouraged
research of deformities all along trying to debunk the superstitious fear of
monsters. He issued a decree ordering
malformed, still born infants to be sent from all over the country to the
imperial collection. He then had them put on show in the Anthropology Hall,
Kunstkamera as examples of accidents of nature.
The Peter
and Paul Fortress
The Peter
and Paul Fortress is the original citadel of St. Petersburg Russia, and in the
early 20th century it was still used as a prison for political
prisoners, by the Tsarist government. Also in the cathedral of Peter and Paul
lay the tombs of the Emperors and the Empresses of the Romanov Dynasty.
Church of Saviour
on Blood
Church of
Saviour on Blood harks back to medieval Russian architecture in the sprit of
romantic nationalism, which is different from St Petersburg’s other structures.
Inside the scenes form the Old Testament and the New Testament are depicted in
mosaic.
Kazan
Cathedral
The Kazan
Cathedral’s interior, with its numerous columns, echoes the exterior colonnade.
It is an active cathedral where the orthodox services are still held in it
routinely.
Saint
Isaac’s Cathedral
The Saint
Isaac’s Cathedral’s shapes grandiosity is impressive and the colonnade is
absolutely irresistible. The inside is filled with the most wonderful stones
that you can’t even imagine. And when you go in the stairs to have a look from
the colonnade, you can’t get your eyes off the brilliant panorama of St.
Petersburg, but when you see the sculptures watching the sunset from the top of
the colonnade the only thing you want to do is fly into the golden sky with
them, and nothing else.
The Suburbs: Petergof
Petergof is
a magnificent palatial complex filled with incredible fountains, with golden
sculptures. It is the best place to show your carefulness skills because the
palace is full of spit devils and
you can’t get out of there without getting soaking wet if you don’t
act carefully.
The garden is
spectacular, and when u see the garden you get amused and image how you are
walking in it and this great journey lasts forever.
Walk on the
roofs
A walk on
the roofs in white nights of St. Petersburg. In the summer months the nights
become curiosily indistinguishable from day and this is just the right time you
should have a romantic walk on the roofs and take a good look at St.
Petersburg’s buildings roads and historic places from above.
A Boat Tour
A boat tour
on the channels. It’s one of the most inspiring tours in St. Petersburg, in
which you travel on the channels and the sight is beautiful, especially when you
pass under the incredible bascule bridge.
